Individual Psychotherapy

I am here to provide you with personalized support and guidance to enhance your mental health and well-being. Together, we will create a safe and nurturing environment where you can effectively manage your thoughts and feelings. Additionally, we can explore strategies to express yourself to loved ones and others who may provide the support you need. My services are available via telehealth for individuals aged 10-80+.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality holds immense importance in a therapeutic relationship. Your protected health information (PHI) and session content are held in utmost confidence, complying with federal and state legal requirements and ethical guidelines. I extend this same level of confidentiality to children and adolescents as much as reasonably possible. Parents and guardians are provided updates on their child’s progress, with opportunities to actively participate in treatment and seek clarification.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) which helps you to understand the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Additionally, I adopt a solution-focused mindset, helping you to achieve your goals by bringing about enduring changes in your problem-solving strategies. Mindfulness techniques serve as a valuable complementary therapy for effectively managing challenging emotions.

Areas of Focus

What to expect

You play a vital role in your treatment process. As the expert of your own needs and desires, we will collaborate to create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals. Together, we will use evidence-based approaches like CBT to effectively manage your emotions and make progress towards your treatment goals. For children and adolescents, I strive to involve them as much as possible in the goal-setting process while welcoming input and participation from parents and guardians.

Professional Consultation

Are you a clinician facing challenges in keeping up with and understanding current federal, in-state and out-of-state regulations? Maybe you are concerned about how artificial intelligence (AI) will impact your practice. Are you uncertain about conducting a telehealth session when your client is out-of-state? Do you have concerns about Medicare or Medicaid regulations that impact your practice? Or are you unsure about the value and process of obtaining an out-of-state license? Read on for insights and guidance on these topics.
When you schedule a professional consultation, you gain access to valuable resources, including the opportunity to ask questions and receive expert advice. It’s important to note that certain topics, such as licensing and technical matters, can be complex and time-consuming. If you’re grappling with evolving federal and state laws, out-of-state and international telehealth regulations, or require technical support with Zoom and other telehealth platforms, a professional consultation can offer assistance.
Moreover, questions on topics such as licensure by endorsement, examination requirements, warrant special attention. Guidance on supervision, continuing education, letters of good standing (verification of licensure), and effective communication with state boards can also prove beneficial. Therefore, make the most of these resources and ensure your practice stays current and compliant.

Clinical Supervision

The clinical supervision approaches I employ include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral-informed therapy (DBT-informed), harm reduction, and a functional approach. For individuals seeking licensure for LCSW or LPC in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as LCSW in Delaware, a comprehensive exploration of these theoretical frameworks can be highly beneficial. By deepening your understanding and skills in these areas, you can effectively assist clients in overcoming various mental health obstacles while progressing toward your LCSW or LPC license.
